And as many of you know, I love the shoes, but they’re not the answer. In our fitness journey it comes down to one question, can you move the weight or not? Sure, there may be some that make you more comfortable or confident in certain movements, but despite what Nike may want you to believe, there are no shoes that can make you run faster, jump higher, or lift more. Bottom line, training time yields results, not your footwear choices.
In the interest of your overall fitness, and being ready for the unknown and unknowable, you may even want to consider trying some movements at lighter weights with less preferable footwear, or none at all. This could expose inefficiencies in your movements, and maybe help you find a better way to attack weaknesses.
By just such a process I found my one rep max snatch, clean and jerk wearing a pair of old, beat up sneakers with holes in them, not $200 Oly shoes from Adidas. JT likes working out in combat boots, and Joe’s had the same pair of sneakers since he started CrossFit. Check out Benedikt Magnusson pulling a world record raw deadlift (no suit, only a belt allowed) of 442.5kg. Notice, no shoes. However you choose to go about it, and regardless of what’s on your feet, you need to put in the hard work to attain the goals you’re after.

It’s ridiculous how good you are with the cast on. Once they cut it off…look out! So impressed by you these last few weeks.
I have OHS envy!!! :-)
Aw thanks, ladies!
