It’s been a spell since we’ve had deadlifts as part of a conditioning workout.  They’ve been missed, but they’re back Friday, with some bonus pulling and leg extension, courtesy of the rower and box jumps. Christine last came up on February 19th, so I’m excited to see how y’all do on this.

WOD: Christine
Complete 3 Rounds for Time of:
Row 500m
12 Bodyweight Deadlifts
21 Box Jumps (24″/20″)

Announcements

Nathan Jokel has volunteered to help with our coordination for the Spartan Race, taking place Saturday, August 28th at Amesbury Sports Park.  The event benefits the Home Base Program, and the cost of registration goes up again after August 8th.  Please contact Nathan if you’re interested in joining a team from CrossFit Fenway for the race.

Fight Gone Bad has raised more than $2 million in its first four editions.  This year LIVESTRONG, Wounded Warrior Project, and the CrossFit Foundation are benefiting from the fundraising efforts.  On Saturday, September 25th we’ll be running our heats.  Register today, and join the fight as part of the CrossFit Fenway team.

Please let Eric know if you’re registered to run in the BAA Half Marathon, so we can coordinate leading up to race day.

The Sox are back home Friday, so there’s no parking during the evening classes.

10:33 Rx, an improvement from last time but i really wanted to be sub-10 on this one. Failed on the box jumps.

You still killed it, especially on those DLs…nice work.

Rowing and Box jumps are 2 of my goats, yikes. This will be interesting. Hopefully I’ll finish strong.

Christine is my middle name, actually…AND the first Rx WOD for me. I’d like to improve my time on this one by a few minutes.

WOD — 16:36 Rx with 50kg (BW) deadlifts

Nice work to the 5:30 folks, and thanks Stacey for *correcting* me on my poor DL form :-)

Somewhere in the late 15s…I was distracted after removing 4 inches of shin skin on the box. Oops.

I have a strong urge to walk out of the house and scream, “Do you know who I am??!!”

I think that deserves an “oo-rah!”

The increase in box height is especially awesome. Nice job!

Thats one hell of an improvement, and everyone knows who you are.

I think all of Kristin’s neighbors definitely know who she is.

Did this on my own… 13:13 with 25″ Box Jump and 170# (77kg) DL

Was feeling left out, so I had a little lunch date with Christine at the office. I had deadlifts today anyway, so why not get them as part of a metcon?

    10:29 (165# DL, 20″ box – tallest I had here)

    11:58 Rx.

Tough workout but it definitely suits some of us smaller guys. I’m still having trouble on the box jumps though – no matter how fresh I am I can’t “bounce” back up.

My first Christine this morning at 530am…kicked my butt!
Thanks Stace for pushing me on those box jumps.
